Everything you need to know about our Beaver Scouts section

When do they meet: Thursday evenings from 5:45 to 6:45 pm in the Church of Ireland school hall Kilternan.

How much does it cost:
There will also be uniform and equipment costs as outlined below.

What will they need: As part of their uniform Beavers will need.

• A 10th Dublin Kilternan neckerchief cost €5
• A woggle cost € 1.50
• A Beaver Top cost €25
• Rock n River Beaver map

In their first year Beavers will be going on hikes and will be expected to have the following items. They will not need these items when they first start and leaders will give parents plenty of notice up upcoming hikes and what their Beaver will need.

• A small backpack that can carry a snack and rain gear
• A pair of hiking boots
• A waterproof rain coat
• A pair of waterproof trousers

In their second year Beavers will get to camp outside in tents. For this they will require.

• A rucksack
• A good quality outdoor sleeping bag. This is a good example
• A sleeping mat
• A head torch

Remember that many of these items will last a Beaver through many of the other sections!
