Everything you need to know about our Cub Scouts section

When do they meet: Thursday evenings from 6:45 to 8:00 pm in the Church of Ireland school hall Kilternan.

How much does it cost:
There will also be uniform and equipment costs as outlined below.

What will they need: As part of their uniform Cubs will need.

• A 10th Dublin Kilternan neckerchief cost €5
• A woggle cost € 1.50
• A Cub Top cost €25
• Hard wearing navy Trousers cost €30 (these do not need to be official scout trousers).
• In their second year Cubs will need a copy of The Scouting Trail cost €20 .

For hiking and camping it will also be necessary for cubs to have:

• A small backpack that can carry a snack and rain gear
• A pair of hiking boots
• A waterproof rain coat
• A pair of waterproof trousers
• A rucksack
• A good quality outdoor sleeping bag. This is a good example
• A sleeping mat
• A head torch

These items can be bought over the course of the year and leaders will give Cubs notice of events when they will need them. Remember that many of these items will last a Cub through many of the other sections!
